The arrival of the Soul Destroyer

I CAN report that the last few weeks have seen some very interesting developments since my last report.
Recently, the Dark Angels rapid strikecraft Imperial Redemption with an escort of four destroyers swung into planetary orbit. Aboard was a very sinister figure, an Epistolary from the Librarius, named Mehabiah.
He looks a very formidable figure in his blue power armour (which he has never been seen to have removed). His face is heavily disfigured on the right hand side, the result of a chemical attack, creating a ghastly mask-like demeanour, and his right arm is entirely bionic. All of which heightens the aura of dread and chill that surrounds him. Mehabiah is not a man to be crossed.
A protege of Ezekiel himself and destined for greatness, he carries the reputation for being able to probe one's very soul and read innermost thoughts. Many find it best to avoid him. He is known as the Soul Destroyer for good reason. Like all Librarians he is singularly focused with an intensity similar to that of our Chaplain — though with psychic abilities rather than fervent zeal — and he goes about his tasks in an orderly and thorough manner, never failing never ceasing.
It is believed that Mehabiah has been ordered here on the direct orders of the Azrael himself, though this has proven difficult to verify. Zuriel the Chaplain, Mehabiah and the prisoner are currently deep within the subterranean levels of the listening station, engaged in a 'preliminary interrogation'.
As for other activities, the squad I am with has been detailed to construct defensive ditches and, with the help of the Techmarine Barzillai, installing the necessary coms equipment and weapon sensors as well as a new weapon auto-targetting sentry turrets. This task suggests that a land-based assault on our position is imminent.
For the rest of the garrison it has been patrols and weapons drill as usual, often operating in isolation many leagues from the base for days at a time. However, no further sightings of enemy activity have been made, so we have enlisted the help of the orbiting strike craft's sensors to scan for non-authorised lifeforms.
Hopefully the heretics will be detected soon.
